Our History

The glorious history and heritage of Sacred Heart Girls' Anglo-Indian & CBSE School, Yercaud since 1894.

Our Heritage & History (Est. 1894)

Sacred Heart School, Yercaud was established in 1894 by the dedicated sisters of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny. Situated in the serene, climate-blessed Shevaroy Hills of Yercaud, Salem District, Tamil Nadu (at an altitude of 4,920 feet), the school has nurtured generations of young women and students for over 130 years.

Originally founded as a holiday home and boarding retreat for girls, it rapidly expanded into a premier educational institution providing both Anglo-Indian and CBSE streams. Sacred Heart has consistently maintained an unbroken legacy of academic distinction, discipline, spiritual grounding, and moral empowerment.
